Banned Shopkeeper who sold booze to children.
A birmingham shopkeeper has become the first in the region to be stripped of his drinks licence since new legislations came into forxe two years ago.
Fasal Bashir, who runs Shawa Nisa Shop in Castle Vale sold booze to children four times between Septemeber 2006 and may this year. Police launched an undercover operation after catching 16 and 17 year-olds drinking in and near the high street shop.

provided staff training and licensing services to
secure the premises alcohol licence for the
superstore which opened it's doors to the

Age changing for Legal Smoking Age
The Legal minimum age for buying cigarettes is set
to rise from 16 to 18, the government has announced.
The new legislation, due to come into effect on
October 1st 2007 is meant to make it easier for
retailers, including pubs that sell tobacco, to spot
underage smokers.
Ministers also hope it will reduce the number of
teenagers who get addicted to nicotine. Currently
around nine per cent of 11 to 15 year olds smoke.
A campaign to raise awareness of the new minimum age
for purchasing tobacco will be launched early this
year.
The Smoking Ban on Pubs & Clubs
The smoking ban on all pubs and clubs in England is
to come into force on July 1st.
Licensees are outraged at the length of time the
Government are taking to release details of
modifications to pubs, to keep them legal within the
legislation.
