  Acceptable Identity

Acceptable forms of Identification

When selling substances that are illegal for minors to purchase, you should always ask for identification. This includes Alcohol, Tobacco, Solvents and various other age restricted products.

Often, you may be given a false identification and must know what to look for on legitimate identity material. Below is a list stating what is required on the identification and how to spot fraudulent identities.

It is an offence to knowingly serve alcohol to people underage. Therefore all personal licence holders along with all their staff will have to be diligent in their efforts to stop persons underage from purchasing intoxicating liquor.

There are several forms of identification that are acceptable as proof of age and all will contain a recognisable photograph.

Portman Group Card                              Citizenship Card                                      Driving Licence                             Passport

All recognised identities will have the PASS Logo to state that they are legitimate. .
